Rolling Road Dyno Facility In Sheffield

Raceproved are proud to announce the unveiling of their new rolling road dyno facility based in Sheffield.
Handily situated close to junction 33 of the M1 motorway the facility brings a new option for the performance-driven car enthusiast in the heart of the country.
Housed in a purpose designed enclosure, the Dyno Dynamics 450 rolling road is capable of handling rear wheel drive cars up to 600hp (continuous) and 1200hp (power run). The dyno is an excellent additional tool at car servicing time - having a power run before undertaking a service can instantly highlight underlying performance-limiting problems which can then be addressed and another power run after servicing will quantify your horsepower improvements. The dyno is also available for car club shootout days or individual power run booking.
Uniquely in the area customers can either book in to remap their own cars under the guidance of our in-house dyno operator (who himself has over a decade of aftermarket ECU remapping experience on MBE Omex and Emerald systems), or alternatively Raceproved can specify, fit and remap Emerald ECUs to your own car.
Raceproved have our own in-house designers and fabricators who can tailor upgrades to your requirements and so offer the very best value and quality performance enhancing products focussing on (but not limited to) TVR, Lotus, club race and rally cars, or even bespoke installs on single seat race cars.

AJP V8 Powered F3000

This ex F3000 race car spent its early life in the hands of David Coulthard, before being acquired by TVR as a development prototype for their proposed AJP race series. TVR factory boffins worked with Raynard to install an AJP V8 engine into the chassis, and also produced an exqusite equal length exhaust system and carbon fibre intake.
The AJP lends itself to the F3000 chassis thanks to its incredible power-to-weight ratio and brilliant packaging. Due to its strength, the AJP engine forms a stressed element of the car with the tub and transaxle/rear suspension being bolted directly to the engine block.
The engine is a 4.5 litre TVR AJP V8, dry sumped race unit. The motor is believed to be one of the last ones produced by the factory, and was brand new having never run before. We produced a bespoke wiring loom using the same components TVR used in the Speed Twelve race cars to maintain authenticity.
We also produced a special one-off flywheel which mated to an AP ceramic clutch. Engine management is taken care of by an Emerald K3 and utilises the 3 map facility. This allows the driver to switch between 3 separate maps on the fly, which can be tailored to different circuits and conditions. A wide band lambda sensor plus a datalogger allow mixture corrections to be made during extreme race conditions which are not always possible to replicate on a dyno.

AJP V8 Ceramic Coated Manifolds

Ceramic coated manifolds not only look fantastic, there are also many other benefits. The coating is a thermal barrier which keeps heat within the manifolds.
By keeping heat within the system, the exhaust gas velocity accelerates which reduces back pressure and reduces fuel contamination due to reversion, releasing a valuable performance benefit. It also reduces the surface temperature of the manifolds which is needed most in a TVR’s engine bay, where the temperatures are already very high and the fibreglass panels are susceptible to thermal break-down.
We can also offer a manifold repair service to rectify any cracks prior to ceramic coating.

Raceproved Support Cliff’s T350R

For the last two years we have been proud to support Cliff during his campaign of the Dunlop TVR European Challenge. When Cliff and Julian turned to us for their powerplant and drive train requirements we were pleased to offer our Speed Six ultra-light flywheel, alloy slave cylinder and race specification 24 paddle sintered clutch package. We also supplied a complete 4.0l Speed SIx race engine and pre-oiler system which performed faultlessly.
The Track Car Solutions prepared T350R has set the class B lap record at Cadwell Park and secured an outright class win during the 2008 season.

Raceproved Support Terry Grant

The legendary stunt driver Terry Grant has had yet another spectacular display season. At the beginning of 2008 we proudly built Terry a new Speed Six engine for his TVR Tamora stunt car, and installed our ultra-light flywheel, 24 paddle sintered clutch and alloy slave cylinder package.
Terry placed a strong emphasis on reliability when writing the specification for the install. His display routines are staggering, yet brutal on the mechanical components of the car, particularly the clutch and engine. Our 24 paddle sintered clutch has performed effortlessly for the full season, out lasting his previous clutches by 8 to 1!
In fact during the end of year maintenance schedule the clutch was inspected and amazingly it had harldy worn.
